The Grey category includes cameras, video cameras, smartphones, tablets, desktop computers and laptops, monitors, printers, telephone accessories as well as all wearable technology, such as smartwatches.
The Grey products market is generally marked by rapid technological progress, which offers significant improvements in terms of quality, functionality and interactivity, leading to several functions being concentrated in the same device and the increase in its average cost, as well as shorter replacement cycles.
Revenues: €798.8 million, or 48.1% of total revenues*
This category includes both Major Domestic Appliances (MDA), such as washing machines, tumble dryers, refrigerators, freezers and ovens, and Small Domestic Appliances (SDA), such as microwave ovens, vacuum cleaners, kettles, coffee machines, toasters and irons, as well as products relating to home comfort, mainly fixed and mobile air conditioners.
Trends on the White products market are influenced not only by technological innovation and developments in energy efficiency, but also changes in trends and consumer tastes (for example, in terms of product design), the time frames relating to the product replacement cycle, as well as changes in laws.
Revenues: €421.9 million, or 25.4% of total revenues*
The Brown category includes televisions and related accessories, devices for smart-TVs and car accessories, as well as data storage systems such as CD/DVDs and USB sticks.
Like Grey products, the products belonging to this category are heavily influenced by technological development and evolution in design.
Revenues: €301.4 million, or 18.1% of total revenues*
Unieuro offers its customers services in home delivery, installation and collection of old units, as well as consumer credit through financial intermediaries and after-sales support. The offer is supplemented and enriched by warranty extension services on products for a period beyond the legal guarantee, services that are directly provided by Unieuro, and are of crucial importance in terms of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Revenues: €58.6 million, or 3.5% of total revenues*
This category includes entertainment-related products, such as consoles and video games, DVDs and Blu-rays, as well as all items sold by Unieuro that do not belong to the consumer electronics or domestic appliance macro-categories, such as housewares, drones, bicycles and hoverboards.
